Another day, another update from the doctor. I will be really happy when they are both finally home and I don't have to wait for my cell phone to ring to find out the latest news on my girls. I don't mean to complain, but it's emotionally draining and some days are definitely harder than others.
Lauren is finally 5 lbs .5 ounces. Yeah! She's so big now! Nothing really new to report. Same things are going on as yesterday....she did take her bottle for three feedings, which is great, and she's up to doing bottle feedings every other feeding. Big improvements and we are really happy about that.
Madeline is having a harder time breathing. She had an x-ray done to see if she has chronic lung disease and it came back looking like she is in the clear for that. Hopefully, she won't develop it later. They are watching her closely and keeping her on her nasal cannula until she is a little older. We are praying for her. She has had such a rough 3 weeks of life, but with lots of fasting and prayers, we know she will be home with us soon. (oh, she's weighing in at 4 lbs 8 ounces)

I am so sorry to hear the Madeline is struggling. We are keeping both of the girls in our thoughts and prayers. Hang in there.
your doing so great with the posts--- Im sure you are so emotionally drained. We are continuing to keep your family and especially your sweet little girls in our prayers. Keep up the great work... They'll be home before you know it :)
