One Week & Counting

Well, Lauren could be home a week from today. She had an episode of apnea last night, so the countdown starts now. If she is apnea free for 7 days, she'll be coming home (assuming nothing else comes up!). If she has an episode again anytime during the next week, the 7 day period starts over again. Frustrating, but getting very close. She is gaining weight and eating 6/8 feeds from a bottle or nursing. We are so excited!

Madeline is right behind her and they could come home together. She is coming off her caffeine today and we're hoping she continues to be "apnea free". She hasn't had any since Nov 1st, so that is a good sign. She also took 6/8 feeds from a bottle/breast and is doing great!

Both of their head ultrasounds came back normal and we are just starting the countdown to when the excitement/madness will be begin.

Melanie Carey Connor and Courtney Hello from Darci Jimmy Xander and Maddox Allen family. We are so glad to hear that the new additions are doing well and we are sorry that we have not spoken sooner. Little Maddox was in the NICU as well and we certainly feel your frustration. Congrats on everything and we hope all is well. We also have a blog page if you would like to see new pictures. its www.allenfamblog.blogspot.com
